Wendon Engineering is a vertically integrated company. Our machine shop and our plating shop are both state of the art. For certain special circumstances machining and plating services can be provided to our customers.
Our machine shop is equipped with a 5-axis machining center, CNC milling machines with 4th axis, CNC lathes, programmable CMM with Vision System attachment, and assorted manually operated machines and test equipment.
Our plating shop has 18 plating tanks (18" or 450 mm cube) and is capable of plating varying thicknesses of nickel, silver, and gold. Substrate materials are usually brass or copper. We are also capable of in house passivation. Advanced testing equipment which includes an X-ray microscope with solution metal content tester and hardness tester ensures consistent plating results.
